Something I did a while back for good fun.

We have been slowing getting aprons made.  Between our jobs, play time with the kids and life in general, its coming along.  We have some men's aprons that are almost ready.  Hit us up, if you are interested.
Meanwhile, yesterday when I volunteered at my friends event, ARTFeast, I ran into familiar faces.  It was exciting talking about the aprons we are making and people seemed to be interested.  I guess we need to open the sweatshop tonight!

It was Monday night.  My roommate Bryon was going to read at El Farol on Canyon Road.  I had never been and his partner, my other roommate, asked if I wanted to go.  "Sure! I've never been."  Poetry night seems to bring a certain hybrid of people out.  Entertaining, yes.  Obnoxious people, yes.  Bad mics, yes.  But, the talent of some of the writers was amazing. Here is one such talent reading a poem:

These photos were taking in July at Zocalo, Santa Fe, NM for SWAIA.  The bolos were silent auciton items for the SWAIA gala at LaFonda.  Interestingly, the photos look different here, but I still love them.  The girl is Montana.

At the Native American Clothing Contest.  Tom Ford (a guest judge) is as beautiful in person as he is in print....very kind and gracious.

Many things have happened since I last posted.  I was working in a shop in downtown Santa Fe.  Many of the tourists were a pleasure to talk to.  Many seemed to have crawled into the 21st century and learned about American art from a Calvin and Hobbes comic strip.
Fast forward... Boy George twitted me: I was ECSTATIC.  I managed to paint more (sorry, I forgot to post those photos) and sold a few.  Not bad, I thought.  Watched a couple sunsets.  Re-connected with some friends.  Made a huge pile for Goodwill that I have yet to take.  Totally need a haircut.  Car is dead.  Got a new job and love it!  Delt with interesting and pushy people.  Stressed.  Had one too many margaritas with friends and enjoyed too much food.  Donald Pliners!  It was a hot summer.  Was at the same restaurant as Shirley McClaine.  Oh...and TOM FORD!!!  Got some great photos from Julien McRoberts and Kitty Leaken of myself.  Watching the cats play.  The rains have come.   Thinking of my next step.  And, I just drank a diet Dr. Pepper (which tastes just like a regular Dr. Pepper).

Cheers Mate,

This is a short video where you can view my amazing (if not awesome) acting abilities...  We must have done it three times before the director was like, thats good enough.  HA.  I had a mild cold, so I was not up for fun and games.  Dios, it is good enough, I guess.

The second video clip, I was an extra.  My party scene was cut.  Needless to say, I think this movie sucks.

I wrote this years and years ago....  A different time and place, I laugh at myself.

WHAT MADE A YOUNG MAN BLUSH
(From a Cognizant List of Refinement and Overall Allureness of Men)
Entry #2

In a certain restaurant near the University district, an older gentleman sits across from a young man.  They are admiring the soft light, the red table cloth.

While they are eating dinner, the young man notices the gentleman looking in his direction.  Blushingly, the young man whispers, "What are you looking at?"

The gentleman looks directly into the young man's eyes and response, "Just enjoing the view."

The young man quickly tries to hide his smile behind the starched white napkin while passing the adjacent table a sideways glance.  The young man lays his fingers on the stem of his wine glass, pushes it to the edge of the table.  It drops.

These are stupid, mindless things that are about me.

The first picture is hilarious.  That is Toni Jo in the center of the picture.  I was to receive my AFA degree but, due to unforeseen circumstances (ie., my dear friend Al Hubbard...) I didn't make it.  Ooops.

I can see how blogging is addictive.  Here is another old article that you can't read, but I can always forward it to you, should you be uber curious.  Come to think of it, I think I have these out of order.  Eh....  :-\
